We are honored to announce that Bailey Medical Center has been listed by Modern Healthcare on the Best Places to Work in Health Care list as 14th of providers and 38th overall. The ranking was announced Thursday evening in New Orleans, LA at the awards dinner. Bailey Medical Center joins four other facilities receiving this recognition within Ardent Health Services, our parent company based in Nashville, TN. No other organization or health system had more facilities make the prestigious list.
“Bailey Medical Center is truly my home away from home,” shares Holly C., an OR surgical tech at Bailey Medical Center. “As the hospital was being built, I knew I wanted to work there someday. Surgical technology seemed really interesting to me. I had been a stay at home mom for seven years. As my boys started school, so did I. I am very proud to be where I am today - caring for the patients at Bailey.”
“At Bailey we have a mission to treat our patients like family,” explains Admission Concierge Lucretia Y. “Everyone who comes into this hospital is not just a patient or a visitor - they’re family. I genuinely love coming to work every day and caring for everyone who comes through the waiting room.”
“I started with Bailey when we opened our doors in 2006,” Mammography Technologist Rebecca W. recalls. “I’m a single mom and have worked very hard to build a successful career to support my kids. I love what I do and am so grateful for those that I work with every day. I want to make sure my patients feel comfortable and calm and I strive to show them that I genuinely care about them.”
This is Bailey Medical Center’s fifth year on the list. “At Ardent, we invest in people by providing our hospitals with the freedom and tools to create an environment where employees feel valued and supported and patients receive the highest quality of care,” said Ardent President and Chief Executive Officer David T. Vandewater. “We are honored that our facilities continue to be recognized for their success in creating a culture that not only attracts and retains the very best talent, but also motivates employees to go above and beyond.”
In its ninth year, Modern Healthcare’s Best Places to Work list recognizes 100 healthcare organizations with high-performing cultures that allow physicians, nurses and staff to work at their best, which, in turn, assures patients receive outstanding care. Winners are selected based on interviews with leadership and an employee survey, which assesses satisfaction, work-life balance, communication, policies and practices, work environment and culture. The full list of winners is available here.
